For unto us...

A VERY MERRY CHRISTMAS to you all!!

We are incredibly grateful to know and love each of you - our dear friends and family. We pray that this season finds you all healthy and happy, secure in the knowledge that you are loved by a heavenly Father who gave us His precious son, not only for our forgiveness, but to show us pure, true + unconditional Love. Thank you to each of you who extend yourselves on our behalves - we are truly grateful for you all.

We are all settled into our awesome new, little place as of late August. It's a perfect spot for us, just down the road from Maria's moms house. We love it and are so happy to be provided for in this way.

This last summer as well, Jason experienced and incredibly important time with Jesus. He was baptized in the Deschutes river among family and friends - it was a unique and precious moment. God has been additionally gracious in supporting Jason's career as a highly skilled artist and has the wonderful privilege to begin teaching others in an upcoming sculpture class at Art Central here in Bend. Art Central is a well established and widely respected organization here that supports our community well. He was also featured in Cascade A & E Magazine - December Issue and we hope that God will continue to be glorified in each and every encounter Jason has with these students and beyond.

Maria is still working as a nanny for a local family and enjoying her time with the kids as they grow - learning a lot, right along with them. She is also having lots of fun taking photos here and there for folks - it's been a fun, creative outlet for sure. Hoping to start back into her organizing biz  as time and God allow, she's brushing up on tips + tricks of the trade so that if a client should arise, she's well prepared to help out.

So that's about all the newsy stuff we have for you... =) We do so very much hope that in the midst of what can be a challenging life, that you would each know the surpassing love and light of God, that He will be your strength and grace as you journey on... you are loved!

What wonderful adventures we've been having this wonderful season.

down the road again

Jesus is kind. (understatement much?)

He is beyond generous and he has outdone himself this time!

We are ridiculously blessed with this sweet little number and so many great things happened to orchestrate this move! I's an amazing location, just minutes from mom's wonderful home and we are very grateful for this season, to nestle in and host our wonderful family and friends. SO, come visit - we can't wait to see you... J+M

Jason the {baptized}

Seriously cannot tell you enough good stuff about this day as it was simply chalked FULL of goodness... God's goodness + grace. This was the day my beautifully souled man got baptized. He and Jesus are pretty tight and fully in love, so it was a remarkable celebration of this posture. I am such an admiring and fortunate wife and I couldn't have been prouder to be there, in the goodness!

Imma' ask him to write more here too, but suffice it to say, it was heavenly!

Hot Springing...

Two years running now we've had the privilege of luxuriating at Belknap Hot Springs, along side the McKenzie River. It is always a treat to be away with my best. We love being together period, particularly in nature, which is basically our Disneyland...

fun times in {southern} oregon

SUCH fun we had with these two boys... great goofiness at the Fun Center. It was a short but sweet visit and these sweet kids were almost as happy to see us as we were to see them, which was a lot!

Not too many pictures were captured, but we also enjoyed a fabulous time with J's family, The Knutson's side of the family is prolific to say the least. You could smell the family history in that well worn house on Holly Street. Abounding with wainscoting, vintage push light outlets and multi-generation love, celebration of Great Uncle Tup's birthday was in full swing.

Another crazy surprise was to find out that this lovely lady here, being loved on by J's mom, Aunt Pat and I are related not just through our marriage, but we have been related for lots longer, via my moms side of the family, The Varner's! Her Aunt and my mom's Aunt are the same lady, another wonderful woman, named Marjorie. Pretty nutty.

Jason's uncle Tup (Emil) is an incredibly talented artist who has shared his artistic {gene}ious with my equally skilled artist husband!

We got to spend some great time with our wonderful friends, the Lazz's, who were beyond hospitable to us during our short, but wonder{full} visit!

pacific city :: {beach} time

A last minute invitation from our bro + sis came to us just in time for an amazing weekend getaway.

We got to spend time chilling at the house and a plentiful amount of ridiculously fun memories were made along the sandy shores of the crisp Oregon coast.

This same spot is where we've honeymooned and spent our first year anniversary at so it obviously holds a sweet sentiment for us.

Additionally, we spent this weekend launching into what will be the most amazing journey yet... we found out that we are expecting a baby, arriving in November!

Needless to say, we are beyond thrilled and have another family blog that many of you will get to join along with as we progress through our pregnancy and plow into the depths of parenting!

We are so grateful to our loving Father for gracing us with this remarkable and miraculous gift and only hope to faithfully serve and steward this life of this precious little one as they grow, prayerfully into the likeness of Jesus, being loved by Him, us, and so many others. To God be all glory and gratitude!
